About Dances With Horses

I am 100% committed to providing horses and other animals with a wonderful home that provides them the opportunity to live in a setting that is as natural as possible to that found in the wild. Horses should always have the opportunity to roam, run, graze, play and be free to socialize with other horses. I provide all of my animals with large green pastures, fresh water and the freedom to break into a dead run whenever they choose. Horses should be able to graze and have unrestricted freedom and most importantly they should be allowed to socialize, including stallions when managed properly. All horses should have compansionship, and if it's not with other horses, they should have the company of a goat, lamb or other animal so that they are not alone. Horses know how to socialize with one another and they may bite, kick or exert authority over one another but do so to communicate and develop relationships just as they would in the wild. A horse should never be confined in stalls for long periods and they need to graze without restraint. Horses are the ultimate herd animal and they need the companionship and and freedom to interact with other horses in order to be healthy. Many people have truly lost sight of the beauty of the horse by altering their natural feed source, over blanketing or extensive stalling in order to maintain a show coat and elminating the horses ability to socialize freely. My love of animals and my desire to provide those animals with a permanent home, the care that they need and the freedom that all animals deserve, brings me the greatest happiness. Maybe we should all remember where the term "horse play" came from and let the horses play.

Our horses are very important to us and they are given a tremendous amount of love, care and attention. We do a great deal of trail riding and our horses are used to being around dogs, traffic, tractors and other distractions. We ride in several parades throughout the year and our horses are well socialized with other horses. Many of our horses are used for lessons and teaching. We also breed sporthorses and own numerous other animals which means we can't keep them all based on space constraints. When we do offer our horses for sale, we strive to place them in ideal homes with loving, responsible and knowledgable horse owners who will provide continued love and the best care possible.
