Dances With Dante

"Hi Danna
Dante is a wonderful horse. He is adjusting just fine to the Santa Barbara way of life.  His paddock overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Brad Pitt's secluded home with the mountains in the East.  Him and Brittni seem to be bonding a very close friendship.  All the girls at the ranch have fallen in love with him.  He is the most handsome horse on the ranch. Brit finally rode him for the first time yesterday."

"Danna,
Just wanted you to know last saturday was the first chance I had to take laci out. We were invited to a handicapped riding stable on one of thier days off, to use the indoor arena without distraction. Four of my friends and I used the heated wash stall to scrub our horses.... Everyone had a good laugh when laci sat down before I even turned the water on. After that she did great. I rode her English, Western and bareback. We showed the new riders the patterns by walking through them. I barely had to use the reins, she knew exactly what needed to be done. We finished off the day with a quiet trail ride.  When the day was done and I tucked my kids into bed that night I felt guilty, because I knew i had more fun than they did that day   : )                      Thanks, Maurice"

"Hi Danna,
Echo is adjusting well.  he even has figured out which stall is his when they come in to eat.  he and my colt love to play - it's fun to watch.  And yes, he's already getting pretty spoiled with treats.  Keep in touch.  Mindy"

Sold to Lisa & Alan Parsons of
"The Alan Parsons Project"

"Hi Danna,
I thought I'd let you know how Echo is doing.  At feeding time he just comes right in, nickers and is happy.  He has such a sweet disposition and will be a nice horse for me.  I want to thank you for letting him come to our home, I do know how much you miss him (with good reason!).  We can always keep in touch about him and if anything would happen that we couldn't keep him you would be the first to know.  Thanks so much, and hope to hear from you soon!  Mindy"

Dances With Sizuna

Andalusian Mare

Danna,
"Your webpage looks great and I wanted to update you on Sizuna, we call her Suzie.:-) We just love her! She loves attention, is extremely gentle, and is the granddame of all the mares. People comment on her all the time.

I wanted to let you know that Sizuna is in foal to a black Andalusian from Colorado, "Conquistador." You can see him online at He has great action and further more has a great mind and shows in performance classes besides halter. I am really excited and she is expected to foal the first week of April. I am enclosing a photo of her at 6 months along. She is now 8 months. I'll send you a photo of the baby when it's here. Very pretty isn't she!"

Take care!

Sincerely,
Cathy

I just wanted to let you know how Delaney is doing. She  settled in just fine - a little pushy on the ground at first, but now she is a puppy dog.  She comes when she is called, nickers hello and is so very affectionate.   She follows me around and free-lunges with hand and voice signals only (thanks to help from my trainer). She is a very special horse. She is now is in a large paddock with a neurotic and unpredictable thoroughbred mare (ex-racehorse). Thanks to Delaney the mare is now calm and easy to handle most of the time - even affectionate....

Danna,
Just wanted to let you know that Zues is really doing great. Coggins and all other vet checks came out good. He has put some weight on but I am floating his teeth on Friday. I have been riding him and working with him alot. I have a trainer who comes every Thursday for about 2 1/2 hours and is teaching me a ton of stuff. (she is a TWH trainer and is into Parelli stuff). He has really learned some pretty cool stuff. He is a awesome horse and I really love him. My sister is still struggleing trying to find a horse. She went 4.5 hours one way yesterday and the lady misrepresented the horse. She said he was around 10 years old and he was more like 20. She is trying to match Zues' characteristics and its been tough for her. Hope you have a good Easter and Thanks again.
Kim
That Morgan/Percheron on your website looks awesome! I have a feeling I will be buying another one soon!

Danna,

Thanks for the reply.  I think he is gorgeous too, especially I love the bit of white in his tail.  We don't have a definite name yet, but I'd like to name him Lord Tennyson (after the poet, Alfred, Lord Tennyson) and call him Alfie for his barn name.

Hope you are well.  Your website looks wonderful.

Thanks again,

Elise

Dances With Ladyhawke

Tennessee Walker Mare

Hi Danna,
Sorry it took me so long for me to get back to you. Ladyhawke is coming along quite well. I've taken her to 2 living histories which she loves because of the people attention. I've taken her to one reenactment, she did very well for a new horse. She put up with the cannonfire, pistolfire, but didn't quite get the hang of saber fighting. I have a trainer working with her 2 days a week and I work with her one day. She's very intelligent and bold- she can do voice commands, leg commands, but refuses to neckrein, so we're still working on that. She's still very green. Everybody that sees her is very impressed, including the thousands of people at the living history. I'm not going to try to take her into battle until next spring. I'll keep you informed.

Dances With Smith & Wesson

Friesian - Percheron Geldings

Hi Danna,

The horses are doing great.  We are riding them 2-3 times per week as the weather allows, mostly cross country.  They were both very green under saddle but are very willing and we have put quite a bit of riding mileage on them in the past couple of months.  Though they have distinct personalities, they both have wonderful dispositions and a good work ethic (especially Wesson- he reminds of a horse I once had that I referred to as the businessman).  I am personally mostly riding Wesson and even took him on a spring hunter pace competition a few weeks ago.

Smith's new name is Sintar and Wesson's new name is Shazam.  We have not driven Smith yet but we have driven Wesson and he is a dream to drive- very responsive.

They are both living high on the hog and are very much enjoying all the extra treats and attention that they get.

Best,

Lisa
